I am graduating after a month from my college and as a tribute to my wonderful 4 years at DA-IICT, I wrote this article for my college magazine 'Entelechy'.
Last 4 years have been a fascinating journey for me and the fact that it’s going to end soon makes me cry now. I am really going to miss DA-IICT and the people around here.
I came to DA-IICT with lot of dreams and bag full of ambitions. It was like stepping into a totally new world and exploring the unknown. Coming to DA-IICT has in fact being the best thing happened to me till now. I came out of my comfort zone and began adjusting to new life here.
Life at DA-IICT has been always fun. The most exciting part of my college life was living in a hostel. It has taught me things like how to adjust with others and share your things. I learnt how to stand in line for bathing and how to do gossiping with floor mates. I would really like to thank my roommate, Karan for being a wonderful roomie, a person who never says no and is ever ready to help me. I would also like to thank the awesome guys of F-WTF (F-Wing Top Floor), which made me, feel at home during the 4 years. I will miss playing cards and AOE and all the masala bakar.
My stay at DA-IICT has helped me to develop as a person and I am amazed to see a transformation in me. My batch-mates, juniors, seniors, professors, and all other people at DA have definitely some role to play in it. I am really going to miss them. I learnt important lessons of life from them which are not mentioned in any book. I made lifelong friends (too many to name) and the time spent with them has been etched in my memory for lifetime. But I would really like to mention – Parth, Poojan, Vedang, Aditya and Pavas for always being there for me and guiding me every time I needed help.
Also, I am going to miss the 3rd counter ka daal tadka, the java green mini latte, night outs, eating in Infocity and Pathik Ashram after midnights, walking for hours around the campus every night, sitting idle near lotus pond and chatting, staring stars from CEP terrace, awesome books in RC, the EHC, the research labs, the lecture theater, the SAC and sports ground, the cultural programs in OAT, Synapse, IEEE meetings, the workshops, shouting when electricity goes out, the daddu store, the galla, the CEP office, the super faad internet speed, IPmsg, DC++ and all the bakar which happens in the college.
Lastly, I want to thank all my batch-mates and especially some close friends who have made my journey ‘exciting’ and my life ‘wonderful’ during past 4 years and I am definitely going to miss all of you guys!!! Hope we stay in touch in future… Thank you all and I am definitely going to miss my ‘college days’.
Finally, a must read article for any school student: http://mitadmissions.org/blogs/entry/50_things
